Preparing for the EMV migration

 

As indicated under EMV migration credit card terminals will have to be upgraded. Follow this link for an upgrade plan by Vendor.

Important Note

 

Certificates are contractual documents between terminal vendors and EPCI. This page  only represents a list of certificates and it is possible that not all certificates are included in this list. The final proof is the certificate itself.

 

Situation on May 24th 2007

 

(*) Certificate with limitations:

  • Not valid for new installations after December 28th 2003

  • Valid until January 1st 2005

  • Semi-on-line terminals shall not process extra's

  • We strongly recommend the merchant to daily monitor the automatic upload of transactions and to initiate a manual upload when required.

  • These terminals should always be kept under power and portable devices kept well charged, as transaction loss has been observed after a power failure.

    Terminals for the acquisition of credit card  transactions following the mag-stripe on-line  specifications of Europabank and presently only certified for acquiring by Europabank

     

    The Dutch company Internet Networking Group b.v. (also known as Think-ING) ceased to operate. There are presently no certified terminals available on the market.

    Notice for merchants still using such a terminal:
    This service is discontinued as of April 22nd 2004 5:00.

    No transactions will be processed after that date.
     

    Important

    Upon decision of the acquirers, only EPCI certified terminals can be used for capturing credit card transactions.
